WWF

WWF carries out a huge amount of work to help protect wildlife. In their own words:

“WWF believes in a future where people and nature thrive.”

WWF are best known as a conservation body for wildlife. However, they also strongly recognise the strong links between wildlife, the environment and human activity. Due to this they’re now at the centre of the global campaigns to take this issue.

Specifically, WWF is:

  • Protecting The Natural World – where possible WWF is doing everything they can to help prevent further deforestation and the destruction of other wildlife habitats.
  • Fighting Climate Change – the changing environment also has a huge impact on wildlife. WWF is taking a leading role in fighting climate change, most notably in its Earth Hour campaign earlier this year.
  • Changing How Humans Live – working on schemes to help and encourage people to live more economically.
